The Atlanta chapter of the British American Business Group celebrated the BABG’s annual Garden Party at the British Consulate on Atlanta’s northside in June. Her Majesty's Consul General Martin Rickerd (left) congratulates Basil Haslett, inventor, businessman and artist, who established the US headquarters of Glass Craft USA in Atlanta. The parent company, Glass Craft, is headquartered near Belfast, N. Ireland. Haslett's US patent was granted in January 2008 for his process of frosting, etching and engraving tempered glass, which before now was not possible because the process caused the glass to shatter.
